How It Works

1. Secure Your Consultation: A $50 consultation fee is required to begin the custom scent development process. This covers your initial consultation, vision discussion, and project planning. For projects that move forward to full development, this fee is credited toward your final investment. For inquiries that don't proceed or cancellations, the fee is non-refundable as it compensates for our design time and expertise.

2. Custom Scent Development: Once we move forward, our comprehensive process includes:

In-Depth Consultation: Discussion of your vision, brand identity, space, or event theme
Fragrance Research & Sourcing: We source premium fragrance oils from multiple suppliers to create your perfect blend
First Round Formulation: Up to 3 custom scent options developed specifically for you
First Sniff Test Session: Guided presentation and feedback session to narrow your choices
Second Round Refinement: Adjustments based on your feedback to perfect the formula
Second Sniff Test Session: Final selection and approval of your signature scent
Formula Documentation: Your custom formula is archived for future orders
Wickless Scent Samples: A curated set of wickless samples for your evaluation — one per formulation developed.

Investment

Consultation Fee: $50 (credited toward development if you proceed)

Custom Scent Development: $950

Timeline: 4–6 weeks from consultation to final approval

This investment covers the extensive research, sourcing, formulation time, multiple testing rounds, and expertise required to create a truly bespoke fragrance. Once your scent is developed, you can order it in any of our candle formats, room sprays, diffusers, or perfume base.

Order, Cancellation & Satisfaction Policy

All custom scent development projects are bespoke and non-transferable. Because each formula is created exclusively for you, the following terms apply:

Deposits: The $50 consultation fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. The $950 development fee requires a 50% deposit to begin work. By submitting your deposit, you confirm that you have reviewed and agreed to these terms.

Cancellations: Once development begins, projects cannot be cancelled. If a cancellation is requested before development begins, the consultation fee is retained and no further charges apply.

Samples: All scent samples are provided wickless and are intended for fragrance evaluation only — not for burning. This ensures an accurate assessment of your custom scent before your formula is finalized.

Quality & Damages: We stand behind every formula we develop. If your sample or product order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 72 hours with photos at marinamadeit4u@gmail.com. We will work with you to make it right — whether through replacement, credit, or a carrier claim.

Balance Due: The remaining balance is due upon final formula approval, before any product orders are placed.
