Wild coffee (Psychotria nervosa) grows in the tropical hammocks of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, its red berries a treasure Florida pioneers discovered long ago. Settlers would harvest the berries, roast them on the back porch until they cracked and popped, releasing bittersweet smoke that danced through the air. Imagine how they might have enjoyed this wild Florida brew—perhaps sweetened with a little cream and sugar, a morning ritual and fresh start in the wilderness. Today, wild coffee still grows in the park's hammocks along the Loxahatchee River, a reminder of Florida's frontier days when everything needed for survival could be found in the wild. This room spray captures that pioneer spirit—roasting wild coffee berries, the whirly white smoke, the bittersweet notes, and the promise of a fresh start in untamed Florida.
